Roulette Table
The roulette table allows gamers to place their wagers in the game of roulette. Roulette is a straightforward game in which players choose numbers or groups of numbers on which to bet. A ball that lands in a notched segment of a spinning wheel determines the winners in this popular game.
Roulette table layout
When you go to a roulette table, you will see that the felt is marked with numbers from 1 to 36, as well as zero and double zero. The numbers are contained within a lined grid and each number is on either a red circle or a black circle (except for the zeros which are on green). The numbers on the roulette table are arranged in three columns and twelve rows. In addition to the individual numbers, the roulette table is marked with several areas that allow players to bet on groups of numbers. These markings include groupings for the 1st 12 numbers, the 2nd 12 numbers, the 3rd 12 numbers, 1 to 18, 19 to 36, even numbers, odd numbers, red numbers and black numbers.
Placing bets on the roulette table
Players make their wagers by placing chips on various locations on the roulette table. If a player puts a chip directly on a number it is known as a straight bet and is a bet that it is the number that will win. Players can also place a chip on the grid line between two numbers to wager on both of those numbers, or the intersection of two grid lines to wager on four numbers on the roulette table.
The other squares marked on the roulette table allow players to make other wagers on the groups of numbers. Once the winning number is declared, the roulette table's croupier pays the winners and removes any losing bets from the roulette table.
